Want to own a business on Ebay or Etsy or grow your existing one I discovered a successful online niche market and with a lot of hard work I was making profits of approximately 1500-2000 per month Started a new job recently and had to give up online sales as it was more than I could juggle. I have about 5 000 ( ) items (sewing patterns stitchery kits and fabric) as well as shipping supplies (pattern sized plastic Tyvek shipping envelopes. When I was selling these individual profits on most of these items were modest in the 4-5 per sale range most of the time but I had some that sold for 40-50. These are Simplicity. McCalls Butterick Vogue and 2 boxes off small named brand craft patterns (ie quilts holiday etc.) There are tons of women s men s and children s clothing. These patterns were collected over several years and were found throughout the Northwest (from Sacramento to Seattle and everywhere in between). Some are new some very vintage. Vintage patterns often have ripped envelopes but one of the things I discovered is that buyers do not mind that as long as you let them know in your online descriptions. To reiterate the buyer will receive approximately 5 000 sewing patterns several boxes full of stitchery kits and fabric the boxes I stored them in (43 pattern crates most measure 21 x 13 x 11 to give you a size reference).
