Chandler Small Animal Clinic is looking for its next great team member We are a busy well established 1 doctor small animal practice in the Chandler area. We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant at this time. Currently we have 2 F T and 1 P T position available.The Veterinary Technician Assistant will assist Doctors and other Technicians in the exam rooms treatment hospital pharmacy and surgical suite along with providing miscellaneous medical services for the boarding pets as well. This position will also assist with front office duties as needed.The range of duties include but are not limited to Assisting doctors and team members with treatment of animals seen in the exam rooms as well as those being hospitalized for treatments or surgery. Efficiency in venipuncture placing IV catheters giving injections and vaccines SQ fluids expressing a-al glands clipping and cleaning wounds and providing safe effective restraint when needed. Radiology -- setting up for positioning and developing radiographs. Perform laboratory procedures such as blood smears fecal floats urinalysis heartworm tests parvo tests etc. Prepare specimens to be sent to our outside lab and prepare the appropriate paperwork. Assisting with surgical prep wrapping surgical packs autoclaving and sterilizing surgical materials and assisting in surgeries and dental cleanings monitoring vital signs on all patients in the hospital and before during after surgical procedures. Assist with Euthanasia. Candidates may also answer phones schedule appointments clean and stock rooms and assist with client education and follow ups.We are also looking for someone to do a split shift with Technician Assistant Duties and finishing with Boarding Kennel duties in the evenings. This includes cleaning kennels feeding in the evenings medicating as needed walking dogs playing with cats and cleaning cat condos communicating with owners as needed and entering boarding charges.
