Up for sale is a vintage red velvet formal evening bag purse handbag made by Jana that used to belong to my grandmother. I believe she purchased this evening bag sometime in the 1950 s maybe early-1960 s. The exterior of this evening bag is trimmed with a gold tone metal frame with velvet over a hard shell along with a velvet strap handle. This also has a gold tone push button clasp. The interior of this evening bag is fully lined in black satin and it s divided into two sections with a hard black divider which is topped with a gold tone trim. There are very light markings in the velvet on the one side. I suspect this came from resting against the inside of a clear plastic shoe box for over 40 years. These light marks can be seen in the first picture with a close-up shown on the 3rd picture. Other than this slight imperfection this evening bag is in excellent condition. Body 9 x 5 x 3 with a 6.5 handle measured from the middle of strap as it was hanging (similar to the first three exterior pictures).
