EOE M F Vets Disability Affirmative Action Employer JOB SUMMARY This position provides support in facilitating all asset recovery efforts of the bank and focuses on recovery efforts involving past due loans. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Manage past due loans of assigned portfolio making contact with borrowers via letter and telephone making arrangements for payments and regularly following up on payment arrangements established. Track or locate nonresponsive borrowers. Generate past due reports necessary to manage accounts prepare tracking and status update reports. Responsible for maintaining acceptable delinquency ratios for assigned accounts. Determine when collection efforts become futile and initiate repossession and or foreclosure. Prepare Credit Action Plan Memos on loans for review and presentation to management. Assist with past due monitoring of entire loan portfolio. Assist with small claims court judgments and garnishments. Assist with facilitating repossessions and maintaining Bankruptcy cases. Assist with administration of other real estate properties which may include maintaining documentation and expense ledgers showing of properties to be sold or rented etc. Assist Loan Administration team members as needed. Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards. Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors co-workers and customers. Assist with other duties and follow directions of supervisor. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform other duties and projects as required by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION High school diploma or equivalent. Previous banking experience in collection or lending-related areas preferred. Bookkeeping clerical experience (including account reconcilement letter correspondence etc.). Ten-key Windows XP MS Word AS 400 and Synergy. Strong proficiency MS Excel. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong verbal and written communication and telephone skills must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in a professional manner using some legal language Strong interpersonal skills able to work well with a wide range of people Strong sense of customer service must be able to adhere to bank s customer service standards while effectively pursuing collections Strong organizational and time management skills ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules. Strong follow through on projects and deliverables. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills must be highly logical Demonstrate resourcefulness in ability to locate and make contact with borrowers. Ability to take initiative in the development and completion of multiple projects. Ability to function with minimal supervision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities Sitting for long periods of time occasional bending squatting kneeling stooping good finger dexterity and feeling frequent repetitive motions talking hearing and visual acuity. On occasion travel to banking centers or bank properties and other sites as needed. Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment etc). WORKING CONDITIONS On occasion travel to local area storage facility court house and possibly other markets. Normal office environment.
