With a system perfected over more than 20 years of publishing trade magazines Target Market Media Publications guides these sales professionals through a training program that prepares them to go out and launch their own edition of either Attorney at Law Magazine or Real Estate Agent Magazine. With a prelaunch plan that includes special incentives and a guided launch plan an entrepreneurial individual is able to go out and manage their own career. As the publisher of the local magazine the individual will be responsible for business development through prospecting and networking sales and marketing as well as minor administrative customer service work. Once the magazine has been launched the role transforms more into an account and territory manager maintaining existing relationships and building business as needed and desired. This business can be run from a home office but the majority of the time will be spent in the field building the magazine in a business-to-business sales environment. This is a 100% commission 1099 role. A schedule of the commission percentages and payment schedule will be discussed with a Target Market Media representative. Responsibilities Seek out potential advertising partners through networking and cold-calling. Sell print advertising digital advertising and content marketing solutions. Maintain a minimum sales goal each month. Maintain long-term relationships with advertising partners. Customer service follow-through including some production-end communications. Attend weekly sales and production training conference calls. Effectively communicate with company as well as clients. Attend photo and video shoots with clients. Coordinate local editorial submissions and sections. Meet monthly deadlines to produce a timely publication. Requirements More than five years of outside advertising sales experience. Proven sales track record in a business-to-business environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively manage your time and work independently. A computer printer scanner and cellphone. Access to reliable transportation to attend sales appointments. Ability to work 40 hours or more per week at least 30 of which should be in the field. Ability to set and meet competitive deadlines and sales goals. A positive go-getter mentality. This is a great business opportunity for the right individual at the right time. The candidate needs to be able to commit a full-time effort to the magazine. The average publisher receives their first commission check within 90 days following training. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain and grow the business to achieve their financial goals over time.
