Truck Driver - Local Donation Pickups

Job Description Habitat for Humanity is hiring a full-time Driver to do donation pick-ups in our pickup truck and non-CDL box truck. Our territory is Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana and surrounding communities. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells new and gently used furniture household items appliances and building materials to the public at greatly discounted prices. Requirements Commitment to Habitat for Humanity s vision (Vision A world where everyone has a decent place to live) Pick-up and deliver donations using Habitat for Humanity vehicles including a pick-up and box truck Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and team lift loads over 100 pounds. Knowledge of furniture moving techniques helpful Valid Driver s License good driving record Dependable motivated and good problem-solving skills Ability to relate well to a variety of people Excellent customer service skills friendly and outgoing personality Interest in working with a fast-paced nonprofit making a difference in our community Ability to load truck for most efficiency and protection of donated items. Assist in developing and adhering to criteria for donated materials Assist in developing driving and warehouse safety standards and communicate and train volunteers in these practices Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the ReStore Experience operating a box truck preferred Retail service and or moving experience helpful Other duties as assigned Email resume to Asst.Manager(at)nwihabitat.org
