HOURS TBD On-Call Position JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the recreation non-vocational activities of assigned students DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values and the operating principles Organizes conducts and directs recreation non-vocational activities Supervises student recreation non-vocational activities on and off center Assists in the planning and formulation of student recreation non-vocational programs with special emphasis on the safety aspects of each activity May order supplies and equipment Instructs assists and encourages the students participation in recreation non-vocational equipment Maintains recreation non-vocational equipment Coaches or supervises various sports activities Attends required staff training sessions as required Maintains professional relationships between staff and students abiding by the Employee Rules of Conduct. Ensures the cleanliness of all assigned Recreational areas REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Minimum Associate of Arts degree in relevant field or one year s experience working with youth Preferred One year of experience in a recreation non-vocational program Knowledge Required Thorough knowledge of a variety of recreation non-vocational activities. Thorough knowledge of a variety of recreation non-vocational activities. Ability to obtain lifeguard certification as required. Must obtain and maintain CPR First Aid certification. Ability to relate effectively with trainee population. Ability to inspire and motivate trainees. The ability to obtain a California Class C Driver s License as well as a Commercial Driver s License with a Passenger endorsement will be required within 6 months of employment.
