Process Control Supervisor position is located in Portland OREGON Job Summary Supervises and oversees maintenance tooling and chemistry departments for the entire facility. This position requires a general understanding of all procedures. Supervises and trains the hourly personnel in all aspects of their job including paperwork proper department procedures quality assurance and plant operation. Responsible for achieving maximum performance of the employee s output while maintaining high quality standards. Evaluates disciplines and motivates employees. Essential Job Duties Responsibilities Instructs trains and coaches Team Leaders in the proper techniques procedures and work habits to assure quality production. Is responsible for ensuring the Team Leaders are performing their duties effectively while following PMFC s management philosophy. Evaluates and disciplines Team Leaders to insure they are meeting goals of Pioneer. Responsible for hiring and firing tooling employees with the input of the Plant Manager. Enforces safety policies and makes sure all production personnel work safely. Active involvement in proactive safety measures. Responsible for the most efficient use of production equipment. Be proactive and find issues before it is an issue. Implement and maintain TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). Works with Sales Pricing and Customer Service to secure new accounts and improve existing accounts. Responsible for customer audits of process quality and systems and directly interacts with Customers to discuss and resolve issues. Assists Sales and Customer Service with technical questions or concerns tours of the facility and technical seminars. Provides support for the technical training of all personnel. Establish and monitor effective daily management process to include daily metrics visual management action plans and countermeasures. Walk the floor every day and often reaching all areas regularly talk and listen to employees observe SQDC visual indicators and ACT immediately. Lead and coordinate Kaizen activity. Learn and utilize lean tools to drive continuous improvement. Evaluates and performs reviews of department personnel and creates development plans for direct reports. Creates and maintains annual training plans for all departmental personnel. Partners with Technologies to develop implement and audit adherence to Best Practices . Responsible for maintaining the performance of site chemistry and associated processes (tank management testing waste-water treatment). Maintains a partner relationship with vendors and manages the procurement of all process chemicals. Strives to insure that PMF is taking advantage of the latest technology. Evaluates new process technology or chemistry as they relate to quality cost reductions safety impact on regulatory and environmental requirements. Works collaboratively with production team on product quality and safety. Supports the continuous improvement process through development and training of the work force. On-call for process related problems and resolution. Responsible for developing financial analysis to justify payback on investments in equipment. Manages the company s compliance to governmental and environmental regulations in conjunction with the Maintenance Department with all regulatory agencies. On-call for chemical related emergencies. Assists in the completion of all environmental reports. Physical Environmental Chemical Hazards Sharp parts sharp tooling heavy carts occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels heat from ovens moderate noise levels limited hand and air tool use compressed air (must use hearing protection). Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to differentiate between color variance. Potential splash exposure near process lines. Various chemicals used in process.
