Hospice Healthcare Volunteer Wanted (Sac-Placer-Yolo)

Interim Healthcare Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to provide important services within the community. Volunteers provide a variety of services to Hospice Healthcare. These services include SUPPORT FOR PATIENTS-Visiting and companionship-Reading and walking tasks-Vigil sittingSUPPORT FOR FAMILIES-Respite relief-light housekeepingBEREAVEMENT SUPPORT-Participation in memorial services-Assisting in support groups-Assisting with mailOFFICE WORK-Administrative duties-Answering phonesOTHER-Participation in health fairs-Baking-Making craftsNo previous experience is required. Training and ongoing support is provided to you to ensure everyone has a truly rewarding experience. (Note Volunteers do not provide actual hands on care)Applicants must submit an application pass a background check and complete 12 hours of training. Once trained volunteers attend monthly meetings and in-services. Hospice volunteers are always needed. We encourage you to share this wonderful opportunity with others.
