Warwick Country Club established in 1924 is Rhode Island s premier full service waterfront country club. Located on picturesque Narragansett Bay this historic club offers unparalleled views of the West passage East Greenwich Bay and both the Jamestown and Newport Bridges. The club features an 18 hole Donald Ross designed golf course golf practice areas two clay tennis courts three hard surface tennis courts platform tennis court Olympic size swimming pool beach area and formal dining room for its members and their guests. Members guests and the public can also plan private events such as wedding receptions ceremonies rehearsal dinners and other corporate and social events in the function room overlooking the bay. The club offers junior programs in golf sailing as well as a swim team. The Event and Membership Sales Person utilizes professional selling skills to perform outside sales calls generate qualified leads execute strategic marketing campaigns and actively develop and participate in professional networking opportunities to enhance brand awareness within the community and develop potential clientele. The successful candidate will possess a strong event sales background with specific expertise in high-end weddings. Qualified candidates will have high-volume catering sales and event coordination and detailing experience in a quality focused hospitality venue. Additionally this candidate will have proven capabilities in delivering an exceptional service experience for clients guests and fellow employees while upholding the most demanding quality expectations. Additionally qualified candidates will possess the following attributes An intimate knowledge of the catering event sales market within the Rhode Island area with established professional networks within the entertainment and or wedding social planning industries. Sales and marketing experience and proven track record at high-end private club resort hotel and or exclusive hospitality brand. A demonstrated ability to easily and effectively initiate contact with and network amongst high-caliber event planners and or executives for purposes of generating new business opportunities. Must have open availability and be available to work evenings and weekends. Required to work with club management on sales and membership goals. This position requires diverse hours.
