Very Merry Dickens Carolers expands to Westfield

Come Sing with the Very Merry Dickens Carolers for the 2015 Season Westfield MA- The Very Merry Dickens Carolers an a capella caroling group is scheduling auditions for its 2015 season by appointment. Based in Cumberland RI the group is expanding to include a Westfield location as well as its Boston group. In it s 11th season VMDC perform in SATB 4-part a cappella harmony whiled dressed in Victorian caroling costumes. The arrangements are not your average run-of-the-mill variety and most were written expressly for the group. Singers should be prepared to sing in tight harmonies and be able to hold their own against competing voice parts. We sing in a variety of styles including jazz swing and doo wop. Carolers sing in indoor and outdoor venues. Performers should love Christmas have great stage presence a solid and proven work ethic a reliable car and willingness to drive at night and in inclement weather and have weekend availability beginning Nov. 21 through Dec. 23. Carolers with daytime availability are also sought. (Being available 3 of the 4 weekends is okay.) Those auditioning should be prepared to sing two traditional Christmas songs of their choice a cappella. They should also be prepared to share a favorite Christmas memory.
