Lead Carpenter

Responsibilities include but are not limited to 1. Stay current with current building code requirements 2. Review production procedure before the project starts 3. Order and pick up construction materials as needed 4. Review material staging packages and verify quantities needed for your projects 5. Schedule all trade partners and inspections on a timely basis to avoid Down Time 6. Attend pre-construction meetings as need 1. Place job signs-one every Job w duration of more than 1 day 2. Attend weekly or daily meeting to allocate resources for maximum efficiency 3. Manage budget to bring job in profitably by managing available resources 4. Collect payments from homeowner and deliver to office per payment schedule 5. Ensure quality and timeliness of trade partner work 6. Set up job for dust protection and adjust as needed 7. Monitor budget on a daily basis with respect to labor and materials 8. Communicate progress of job to homeowner and Production Manager daily 9. Keep work vehicles clean and stocked with necessary materials (personal vehicles are also expected to be clean) 10. Keep clean appearance and wear DM-approved clothing (AVOID Re-Designing the Project) 11. Review scope of work specifications with homeowner 12. Review change orders requests with salesperson and process change orders as necessary 13. Collect Payment for Change Orders BEFORE starting work or ordering 14. Complete job completion checklist and review with homeowner 15. Pick up company job signs after Final Inspection 16. Drop off neighborhood canvas bags before and during each remodel project 17. Ask for letter of recommendation from every client. This will be available in the Project Binder 18. Follow the Company Code of Values Educational Requirements Minimum High School degree Preferred BS Degree Or equivalent work experience several years in construction field Professional Experience Minimum of five years of construction experience Experience at working with trade partners (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry countertops drywall tile and flooring) Experience managing other workers Understanding of construction basics Basic computer skills in MS Office applications or MAC Skills Advanced carpentry general construction trades skills Exceptional customer relations skills (Fluent in English and Spanish is a PLUS) Internal and external customer service focus Ability to communicate and work in a productive team environment Effective oral and written communication skills Effective time management skills and prioritize by highly profitable actions Effective and creative use of problem solving skills Must be self-motivated and On Time Goal setting to measure performance Ability to manage other workers Who do you report to Production Facilitator or General Manager This position will collaborate with all departments in a Team Spirit with the primary goal of fulfilling our company Brand Position Statements Mission and Vision in accordance with our Code of Values and be committed to achieving the sales and profitability objectives set each year.
