Support the University s enrollment management goals by providing counsel to prospective students parents and counselors about admissions procedures. Analyze recruitment trends and formulate action plans to effectively market the University. Develop and provide effective outreach to prospective students parents and counselors. Serve promote recruit and represent the University by being the primary point of contact for prospective students families and counselors. Provide outreach to prospective students families who meet the University s criteria for Academic Talent (AT) including discussing requirements for admission housing and scholarships financial aid. Work collaboratively with the Honors College Scholar Development and other academic partners to create a robust comprehensive program for all AT designated students. Use available data to target AT designated students from OK TX and other high profile settings including development of strategies to identify AT designated students early in the process such as high school juniors. Demonstrate self-direction creativity and strategic thinking in prospect development yield enhancement activities information services and problem resolution. Determine and execute strategies for effective outreach to AT designated students. Make presentations to large and small groups of prospective students families on and off-campus about the opportunities available at OSU give campus tours when needed. Assist with daily office operations including answering phones responding to email greeting and providing counsel to prospective students families and guests to meet our customer service goals. Participate in the development and execution of on and off-campus recruitment conversion and yield activities events designed to market Oklahoma State University to prospective freshman (and transfer) students. Frequent off campus travel (in state and out of state) several times per year. Requires some overnight stays. Frequent evening activities and some weekend to meet needs of prospective students and parents. Other duties as assigned. Required qualifications Ability to lift 45 lbs. (boxes of recruiting materials). Bachelor degree in related area and one year of related experience. Assist in the development of targeted strategies for a specific recruitment population of academically strong and talented students known as Academic Talent (AT). Help Evaluate and define the criteria for AT with the involvement of key leadership. Provide outreach to student families who meet the University s criteria for Academic Talent including discussing requirements for admission housing and scholarships financial aid. Work collaboratively with the Honors College Scholar Development and other academic partners to create a robust comprehensive program for all AT students. Use available data to target AT students from OK TX and other high profile settings including development of strategies to identify AT students early in the process (high school junior). Determine and execute strategies for effective outreach to AT students. Attend college fairs within OK TX and other high profile areas. Schedule and attend high school visits in OK TX and other high profile areas that were identified during data analysis. Participate in the creation of additional marketing materials to AT students. These materials include but not limited to mailings emails text messages phone calls and social media campaigns. Develop and manage with the partnership of the Events Coordinator an enhanced on-campus and off-campus experience for AT students by working with academic colleges honors college scholar development and other departments on campus including Personalized visits with colleges Overnight programs Local area receptions and meals. Manage student staff that will assist with logistical planning of on-campus tours outreach calls and general recruitment efforts. Preferred qualifications Student leadership role in undergraduate experience public speaking experience. Experience with or exposure to student development in a rigorous academic setting.
