Hi. While the calendar says I ve had 65 birthdays most of the time I feel about 20 years younger. I ve been divorced since I was 42. I m now retired asnd planning to see the world. In 1997 my hobby was making pottery. I belonged to a co-operative called The Potters Studio. I gfelt that my work was good enough to sell. Someone suggested That I go to the outdoor art show at The Guild Inn and compare my work to what was being offered there. I went and found that my work compared favourably. On my way home someone made an illegal left turn in front of my motorcycle. Having nowhere to go I hit the car and ended up in a coma for a month. The permanent damage is 2 of the 3 nerves that go through my left wrist were crushed. To this day that wrist gives me constant pain. I take medication to control the pain. It helps but having to take the pills 3 times a day is a bother. Prior to the accident I owned 2 companies at the same time. In one I imported and distributed greeting cards and stationary across Canada. In the other I acted as a sales agent for other companies in the giftware industry. One of the lines I represented was Sandylion Sticker Designs. Although my territory was limited to the provinvce of Ontario I was Sandylion s most effective rep in North Amerca. In fact when the owner decided that she wanted to expand to Europe she asked me to go to some of the American trade shows that were on at the same time. Seeing as I needed to go to those shows to look for new card lines I agreed. Between the 2 companies I earned 6 figures per year. Sadly my selling days came to an end when I discovered that a motorcycle loses an arguement with a car. I was in a coma for a month and then spent another 2 months at the Rehabilitation Institute. Thankfully I was wise enough to purchase a lifetime annuity for myself with the money I received from the insurance company of the person who caused the accident. I ll never be rich but the annuity combined with my pension means I ll never have to worry where my next meal is coming from. The one thing missing in my life is a woman to share my free time with.
