We are looking for a short-term (minimum three months) with the possibility of a permanent position Assistant Gift Shop Manager. We are a historic house museum located in Nu uanu Honolulu. If you are interested in Hawaiian history and culture want to work in the non-profit sector or at a museum this may be the place for you. The position is salaried full-time benefits included (eligible for benefits per company policy medical eligibility per federal and state requirements). Please have the following skills and experience Retail management experience and retail sales bookkeeping and marketing receiving stock and inventory experience with P & L statements and analysis promotes the mission of the organization contributes to store profitability seeking opportunities to increase sales while managing inventory and cost of goods control and labor costs maintains daily weekly and period financial reports ensures all cash handling and cash register functions are performed in an accurate and consistent manner maintains accountability for store operations staff development and financial contribution accomplishes related results as set by the organization consistently and effectively communicates new product information and promotions information to staff develops staff and maintains quality store operations.
