Accountant II

Perform field compliance reviews of the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES) offices located throughout the state (some overnight travel required). Review county budgets and contracts. Prepare contractual services calculations. Maintain and update inventory for 81 OCES offices. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to respond timely regarding OCES financial matters. This is an exempt position (which indicates that the position is exempt from overtime pay comp or personal time accrual). Regular office hours are 8 00-12 00 and 1 00-5 00 p.m. According to OSU policy a 40-hour workweek is considered minimal for exempt staff and you are expected to work hours in excess of 40 hours per week when the work load requires additional hours (to include some early mornings evenings and or weekends). This position requires travel throughout the state to the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service County and or District offices. May require an occasional overnight stay. Travel budget provided. Required qualifications Bachelor in accounting or related discipline and 2 years of related experience including auditing experience. Experience working with Excel Quicken QuickBooks Word email.
