Counter Sales Rep

Counter Service Sales Rep (Eugene Or) compensation 12.00 based on experience Customer Service and Sales Representative Building Supply This position is located at our Retail location this position will involve working both indoors and outdoors. We have a very diverse customer base including contractors sub-contractor dealers landscapers and Do-It-Yourself customers. This position will include working in sales using our Point of Sale system walking the yard to show customers products and loading customers by hand and using a forklift. Essential Duties Responsibilities Services Customers by providing information on the following products Concrete Masonry Units Concrete Pavers Concrete Segmental Retaining Wall Cultured Stone Natural Stone Veneers Septic and Water Tanks and accessories Mortar and sealers Tools and other building material products Generates sales orders and invoices for customers Handles Cash Transactions and Account Billings Credit Card Transactions Cash Transactions Open Account Transactions Answer telephones in timely and courteous manner Load customers with product by hand or using a forklift Prepares internal inventory transfers Help with inventory counts and controls Records inventory to ensure counts are accurate Requirements and Skills High School Diploma or GED Be computer literate and understand Point of Sale software and Microsoft Office Ability to read and interpret documents including specifications and procedure manuals Must be able to work independently in a safe manner Ability to drive a forklift Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals Must be able to follow instructions presented orally in written or diagram format. Must be available to work Monday through Saturday when needed Additional desired skills and abilities Knowledge of the construction or building industry Physical requirements In this position the employee is regularly required stand for extended periods of time Required to walk on uneven surfaces Occasional lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Person Protection Equipment is required while in the yard This position requires a pre-employment drug test physical and physical capacity exam and a DMV check.
