Learn more at www.abm.com.We are looking for a Full Time Ramp Captain for St. Joseph s Hospital Main NO WEEKENDS POSITION SUMMARYThe Ramp Captain makes sure the site s service standards are being met. They are responsible to make sure that all customers are approached and greeted in a friendly helpful way. The Ramp Captain will operate park and retrieve all vehicles safely. They will make sure all traffic laws facility policies and all pedestrian regulations are followed. The Ramp Captain will prepare and maintain accurate valet logs and other reports that are needed. They have additional duties that involve coordinating the team solving problems and providing guidance when the manager is not on site. ESSENTIAL DUTIESResponsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service in a courteous and professional manner. Report directly to Operations Manager Senior Valet Supervisor Assistant Operations Manager and or Senior Management. Support Operations Manager by maintaining open communications regarding day-to-day operations staffing levels unresolved issues concerns and relaying communications to and from employees. Assist in coordinating valet operator schedules (vacation lunch breaks and leave of absence) recurring safety meetings job training and ongoing employee evaluations. Report any hazards to the proper department within the hospital. Maintain a well-supplied and clean work environment. Must be able to work as a team player and sustain your professionalism at all times. Abide by and ensure adherence to establish policies procedures rules and regulations of ABM Parking Services enforcing the correct valet operating procedures to ensure all procedures are handled in a smooth and efficient manner. Monitor and review on a daily basis all required logs for completeness and accuracy. Establish and maintain supply inventories for all aspects of valet operations.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must have a High School diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience is recommended. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in an environment that is not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes with exposure to hot cold wet humid or windy weather conditions for long periods of time. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid state issued driver s license.
