Media Marketing Specialist

The position will assist the marketing area by writing copy for news releases newsletters social media web sites and other marketing projects. It will coordinate the creation and deployment of digital and print content to promote communications for the college s webpage and other projects including newsletters mobile apps social media promotions etc. The position will assist unit departments within the College of Engineering Architecture and Technology (CEAT) to create and maintain engaging accurate well-written content on the CEAT website. The position must understand the communication goals of the College and will work closely with the school head faculty staff and students to facilitate the development of the content on their websites. This position will participate in writing engaging stories producing creative video and designing multi-media materials for units and departments across the college for use across a variety of media. It will contribute to and regularly update social media platforms (Facebook Twitter etc.) and internal websites. Demonstrate excellence in customer service principles including friendly professional communications timely follow-up and prompt responses. Duties responsibilities requirements and expectations of this job are subject to change as needed. Minimum qualifications Bachelor s in marketing communications journalism public relations or related field.Two years of related experience. Experience in AP writing and editing. Knowledge of and work with social media and digital graphics. Ability to maintain several ongoing projects at one time. Knowledge of basic HTML and familiar with content management software systems. Strong proofreading and editing skills are required. Must be detail oriented with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook. Must be creative and able to utilize new technology. Good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities are important for this position. Preferred qualifications Bachelor s marketing communications journalism public relations or related field. Two years of experience writing editing and web content development or related experience.
