1. Responsible for all bookkeeping and financial reports required by Admin. 2. Proof store deposits and maintain current record of income and deposits. 3. Prepare monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations. 4. Prepare checks weekly for accounts payable. 5. Maintain files on accounts receivable and advise admin when accounts are overdue. 6. Supervise preparation of bi-weekly payroll and other work performed by the bookkeeper. 7. keep accounts for payroll deductions and the exchange accounts. 8. Furnish financial information required by Social Sec. Insurance and Credit inquires for employees. 9. Support the mission of The Salvation Army Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises the Bookkeeper and Accounting Clerk. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with The Salvation Army s policies and applicable law. Responsibilities include assisting with the interviewing and hiring training planning assigning and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and or Experience BA in Accounting or High school gradute with formal training in bookkeeping and a minimum of three (3) years experience in bookkeeping or accounting or equivalent of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Language Skills Ability to read analyze and interpret accounting and business reports professional journals technical correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Admin bookkeeping and auditors. Clerical Mathematics Skills Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical and accounting operations to such task as analysis of variance correlation techniques sampling theory factor analysis and determination of test reliability and validity. Computer knowledge and experience in accounting spreadsheet and word processing software. A full Job Description will be provided at interview.
