Academic Advisor &ndash Honors College

Serve as an academic advisor for Honors students from all undergraduate colleges and degree programs and maintain accurate records. Act as coordinator and organizer for Honors co-curricular programs. particularly but not limited to students living in Honors residence halls. Perform administrative duties with respect to the operation of the Honors College office. Assist with special projects and programs as assigned. Promotional opportunities may be available through established career development plan. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Position is primarily 8 00-5 00 Monday through Friday but because 20-25% of this position will be focused on co-curricular activities evening or weekend hours will be required. (Contingent upon available funding.). Minimum qualifications Bachelor degree from an Honors Program Degree or Honors College Degree or Certificate. Excellent communication skills needed as well as the ability to provide honors academic advising on a university-wide basis. Ability to attend on or off-campus Honors activities including evening and weekends when appropriate. Preferred Honors Program Master s Degree or Honors College Master s Degree from an institution affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council. Four years of experience in a related position. Recognition of scholarly quality by election to Phi Kappa Phi or Phi Beta Kappa. Apple Macintosh computer experience. For consideration apply online at hr.okstate.edu employment-opportunities.
