Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview Maintain day to day operations and to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of the property under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Maintain equipment and machinery as well as building facilities maintenance needs. Essential Job Functions Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on all production machines following diagrams sketches operation manuals manufactures instructions and engineering specs trouble shooting malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation listening for problems using measuring and testing equipment. Clean lubricate and adjust parts equipment and machinery. Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. Replaces defective parts using hand and power tools Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Maintain equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels anticipating needed equipment parts and supplies placing and expediting orders verifying receipt. Implement schedule and complete preventative maintenance programs. Prepare maintenance reports and logs. Schedule service and repairs on vehicles and trailers. Schedule service and repairs on factory and retail store facility building areas. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors. Maintain and monitor all building systems. Perform daily tasks and duties as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations. Follow established company policies and procedures.
