Dry Dock 100

July 18th 2015 start time 8 30am Register with Active.com The Dry Dock 100 is a 50 mile or 100 mile bike ride sponsored by the Adirondack Garda Cycling Club in support of the Tour De Force. All monies will be donated to the Tour De Force which is a 501(c)3 charity that raises money for the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. For more information on the Tour De Force please visit www.tourdeforceny.com Each Rider will receive the following in a Road ID swag bag Dry Dock 100 finishers t-shirt Gel pack Energy bar Lunch and Road ID coupon Finishing Party Buffet at the Dry Dock Lounge 3 fully support rest stops SAG support for the entire event The route will take you over 25 miles along the shores of historic Lake Champlain into the Adirondack Park and to Villages of Ausable Forks and Rouses Point. At the 12 mile point and after 2 challenging hill climbs you will be rewarded with a picturesque view of Ausable Chasm. We encourage all of you to stop and take a few moments to enjoy what Mother Nature has created over the last 500 million years. From here the journey continues west through part of the Adirondack Park to the small Village of Ausable Forks where the 1st rest is located. After a brief rest you will travel back to the City of Plattsburgh and have lunch at the Samuel D. Champlain Monument over looking beautiful Lake Champlain. This is where the 50 mile ride will end however if you wish to challenge yourself you can continue on for the 100 mile ride we encourage to do so. After a short lunch the ride continues north to the Village of Rouses Point located next to the U.S. Canadian Border. This will be your final rest stop at the Rouses Point Pier. The last leg of the journey will bring you back along the historic shores of Lake Champlain and finally finishing at the Dry Dock Lounge with a finishing party buffet The course will be clearly marked and there will be roving support vehicle to assist you with any issues that may arise. The ride will take place rain or shine and there will be no refunds due to weather.
