Reference job 15-089. Position Summary Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members throughout the property. When requested provide security for special events shows concerts etc. held at the property and other facilities. Position Responsibilities Ensure guests and owners are out of the pool according to the pool scheduled closing. Turn of pool deck lights lock doors to the pool area. Reopen pool area as scheduled. Secure and reopen all doors as scheduled. Confer with management interview guests employees and others to detect infringements disturbances complaints theft vandalism etc. Patrol parking lots for unusual activity or hazards. Ticket all unauthorized vehicles. Prepare incident accident and other reports that may be required at a specific post assignment. Patrol hallways stairwells and lobby areas of assigned properties to ensure owner and guest comfort and safety. Keep area patrolled clean and neat. Check the building and area for malfunctioning lights or turned out light bulbs. Report maintenance problems to the maintenance department. When requested escort employees or guests carrying cash or other valuables. Contact the proper medical and sheriff authorities in an emergency situation. Assist guests and owners with minor maintenance and housekeeping deficiencies. When necessary contact departmental supervisors or General Manager for assistance and or reservation personnel to relocate the guest if necessary. Enter and check rooms of guests suspected of nonpayment of bill to confirm suspicions and remove remaining personal property. Maintain good working relationship with other departments and their team members as well as with local agencies such as the police and fire departments. Respond and resolve guest requests complaints or questions in a courteous and timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to interact well with other people. Experience in a hospitality setting a plus. Must be able to successful learn fire safety and security procedures. Must have Guard State License for Hawaii. Must be able to successfully complete the security classroom and on-the-job training program. Valid driver s license required. First Aid CPR and AED Certifications highly preferred.
