Inspect diagnose and perform major automotive repairs such as engine automatic transmissions manual transmissions suspension brakes electrical systems heating and cooling and general major performance issues. Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors. Complete necessary paperwork. Adapt to varying tasks according to changing volume and business needs. Requirements Three to five years experience (Special emphasis on Ford). ASE Certification Ford Certification Required. Advanced knowledge of diagnostic and repair systems. Familiar with job specific equipment. Bumper to bumper automotive knowledge ability to work independently and to repair any part on the vehicle. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. A valid driver s license and a good driving record. Must exercise good judgment Ability to complete the necessary paperwork. Must continuously seek out and learn new technical information equipment tools and techniques. Skills B Level Technician Inspect and diagnose automotive performance issues including the engine automatic transmissions manual transmissions suspension brakes electrical systems heating and cooling systems. Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors. Complete necessary paperwork. Adapt to varying tasks according to changing volume and business needs. Requirements Three to five years experience. Smog Certification Familiar with job specific equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to braking systems air conditioning basic electrical systems engine cooling systems and steering with little or no supervision.
