Harmony Home Children s Advocacy Center a nonprofit organization seeks to fill the following position The Prevention Specialist is the primary staff person responsible for conducting and or organizing child abuse prevention training development and oversight of prevention activities and or programs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Preparation oversight and presentation of Stewards of Children curriculum. Preparation and oversight of child abuse prevention conference. Recruitment and supervision of volunteer staff as needed. Assistance with all agency abuse awareness and prevention activities especially during the month of April. Efficient and thorough record keeping and documentation of program participation. Participation and attendance in required training(s). REQUIREMENTS A bachelor s degree in communications or education is required other related fields will be considered. Experience in public speaking corporate training curriculum development and or project management desired. QUALIFICATIONS A clear criminal history. Must have excellent customer service organizational and communication skills. Ability to use e-mail Microsoft Office and office software accurately. Ability to handle a variety of tasks effectively prioritize work and ensure follow-through. Ability and willingness to perform all essential job functions of position. Understands and maintains the very confidential nature of the agency and its clients. Valid driver license and auto insurance required for position.
