going green

Hi there My husband and i are wanting a place to live simply while we build a container home and then a place to park our container home preferably somewhere that we can grow herbs (i make herbal teas dried spices ect) some of our veggies and basically get off the grid.We have a small camper for while we build and really just need space more than anything.My husband works in Fitchburg and i work at home and what Id like to do within the next few years is design alternative dwellings like the container homes. Again more than anything we just need a little space and hope to buy our own in about 5 years so we would be looking to rent or lease the land for aprox 3 to 5 years.We would not need much more than an acre or so and if your not looking to split it up i would understand. We are working on going completely green with solar water collection ect. In the meantime if there is the ability to access water and power great if not we can work with a generator for a few months till we get that up and running.We dont have a lot of money and have been putting things together bit by bit. -) We are like many people our ages (40 and 48) and we are finding that a full size house is just too much (our kids are grown) and after cancer treatments are just out of reach financially so we looked around and tiny houses seem to make a lot of sense for many folks these days.So thats what were looking for and we can also do some light maintenance or barter some herbs or veggies painting services ect for use of land as well as some cash.Let me know if you may have what we re lookin for and if so what you would need in return for how much land.Thanks so much for your time it is deeply appreciated Namaste
