Job 2437 Laborer Core Cutters We are recruiting for several individuals to act as material handlers cutters and general labourers for mining core samples within the Thompson-Nicola region. This temporary assignment is expected to start next week and run for 2-3 months. This position will be supporting the field exploration team working within a heavy duty resource extraction and mining environment this position is a great way for an individual looking for mining experience to supplement their resume. Responsibilities General labor on a busy site Start machines to verify setups and make necessary adjustments to alter positions alignment speed or pressure Remove completed materials or products from the machines and stack or store them for additional processing Minor maintenance and upkeep of cutting equipment Cleaning and maintenance of sample processing facility Other duties as required Requirements Able to lift over 50lbs continuously Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing balancing walking stooping and handling of materials or products.
