Our client is a looking to add a Senior Developer to their operations in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Responsibilities Perform both systems analysis and programming activities of considerable complexity Analyze and evaluate new applications and changes to existing applications Perform maintenance and support of applications and or technologies Propose and submit solution recommendations including costs benefits risks and return on investment Approve design changes after consultation with team members Document systems in accordance with standards or direct others in this task Provide technical leadership to team members and project resources Ensure that development deadlines and objectives are met May plan schedule and coordinate the tasks of others May act as project leader for small to medium size projects Provide updates and estimates of effort and communicate issues and status information as required Adopt development standards and introduce opportunities for improvements Requirements Extensive experience designing and developing system integrations Experience working with a broad range of development processes techniques tools and standards in an enterprise environment Expert knowledge of detailed design tools and methods OOAD and design patterns and Test Driven Development Expert knowledge in one or more of the following technologies Java JMS Messaging Spring Framework Apache Camel Mediation Framework Groovy Grails Able to design complex SQL queries Expert knowledge of software version control tools and continuous integration systems Experience with Progress OpenEdge and Jasper Reports would be an asset Design and development of responsive web apps using standard frameworks (such as Angularjs) and HTML5 would be an asset Technical leadership experience on medium and or large scale projects Post-secondary graduate with a degree diploma or certificate in computer science or equivalent combination of education training and experience City Vernon BC To APPLY for this position please click the Apply to this Job button on our Job Board at www.excel.bc.ca.
