Real Estate Research Analyst - Kelowna

JOB TITLE Real Estate Research Analyst POSITION DESCRIPTION Our esteemed client is seeking a highly organized resourceful full-time research assistant market analyst to join our commercial real estate valuation and consulting team in Kelowna BC. Typical duties include Market Research & Analysis Tasks Search and print property titles legal documents plans assessments etc. MLS sales research. Obtain regional and municipal statistics (BC Stats Statistics Canada BC Assessment CMHC various municipalities and regional districts) summarize statistics and create charts and graphs in Word. Obtain OCPs Zoning Bylaws and other land use related information. Limited travel to other areas cities to research market data. Create new and maintain existing lease file databases for First Nations lands. Research pertaining to First Nations Specific Claims & Land Claims. Historical research (museums BC Archives). Historical air photo and mapping research. Report writing. General Administrative Assistance Tasks Create custom proposals & submissions (responses to RFP) using Word. Mapping and manipulation of digital photos and images in Photoshop. Prepare print and bind draft appraisals & consulting reports and various word processing tasks. Create and assist with visual presentations with PowerPoint. Aerial photography of projects. Work with Excel spreadsheets and formulas. General administrative tasks. CANDIDATE QUALITIES & SKILLS Strong attention to detail is critical. The ability to multi-task with good organizational time management skills critical in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. Excellent computer skills. Professional and reliable with a strong work ethic. Able to work independently or as part of a team. Innovative and resourceful a problem solver. Background in report writing. Knowledge of the real estate industry is an asset. A financial background or experience with financial modelling is an asset. Software Website Knowledge and Experience Must have high-level proficiency with current Microsoft Office programs including Word Outlook PowerPoint and Excel (with particular emphasis on Word and the use of charts graphs and formulas in Excel). Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat is an asset. Must have advanced internet experience. Experience with the following industry related programs web applications would be an asset Google Earth Pro. BC Online for title document and corporate searches. Matrix and Interface for MLS market data. Landcor and BC Assessment Photostitch Panorama Maker Picasa. Online GIS interactive mapping applications. The successful candidate must also have their own vehicle. Preferred Degrees Disciplines Arts Social Sciences Science Environment Agriculture Computer Science IT Creative & Critical Studies Engineering Management.
