Construction Quality Control System Manager Position Summary The Construction Quality Control (CQC) System Manager is responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards. The CQC System Manager is responsible for the overall management of the CQC Program. The CQC System Manager role will include but not be limited to direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process. The CQC System Manager will work closely with the other in-house personnel including Project Managers Superintendents etc. and external personnel to produce and document a quality product. Position Requirements A graduate of a four year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines Engineering Architecture Construction Management Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a CQC Manager on USACE or other Federal contracts Minimum of five (4) combined years of experience as a Superintendent QC manager Project Manager or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contracts. Be familiar with QCS Be familiar with USACE EM 385-1-1 Essential Duties Be onsite at all times during all construction activities Prepare and implement the Quality Control Plan Conduct weekly Quality Control meetings Manage and coordinate the three phase of quality control Manage documentation by Quality Control specialists testing laboratory personnel and other inspection and testing personnel. Provide QC certification and documentation on all tests performed Lead all Quality Control efforts. Required Skills Exception organizational interpersonal managerial problem solving and communicative (both written and oral) skills Ability to exercise independent judgment Flexibility to coordinate with various trades and services Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word Excel Access and Outlook Familiar with QCS
