One of our well established banking client is looking for an Experienced (P.C.P or C.P.A) Payroll Clerk with Banking Exp Duration 1 month contract with a high possibility of extension Location London ON Manager s Notes Candidate must have Legislation and Payroll experience and abide with Banking and Legislation guidelines as well will be analyzing payroll accuracy important research required intermediate Excel as they will be working with spreadsheets excellent written and verbal communication as they will be required to respond to emails to business partners. Client will be conducting an in person interviews as well as a written 30 min quiz on payroll (gross net and how to respond to certain scenario s.) possible extension. Job Responsibilities Providing courteous efficient and professional customer service to ensure employee inquires problems and issues are resolved promptly and effectively within SLA guidelines Conduct thorough data analysis identify issues and initiate investigation within defined parameters Act as a key contact and subject matter expert by providing guidance on processes procedures policies payroll systems and legislative regulations to our business partners Assist in identifying areas for more efficient processes and procedures within team and other applicable groups Develop establish and or follow clear guidelines and processes to minimize risk maximize accuracy Adhere to all legislated regulatory and audit requirements Support a work environment that promotes quality innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues or points of interest Skills Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and function well within a team Excellent written and verbal communication as well as inter-personal skills and the ability to deal with employees at all levels Excellent analytical logical and organizational skills along with a strong focus on being able to multi-task Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to our business partners Excellent computer skills including MS Word & Excel Previous payroll experience knowledge including PeopleSoft screens Time & Labour and HR systems Knowledge of Federal and Provincial regulatory and legislation requirements related to payroll Possess a working knowledge of HR policies and processes Education Experience Current Payroll Compliance Practitioner (P.C.P.) with the Canadian Payroll Association s (C.P.A.) certification is a requirement Human Resource certification would be an asset Please note that this is the most up to date version of job description available at this time During Client Interview you will receive additional information variance may apply When you have some time please register in our database (5 minute process) to be considered for future openings the link is available on our website at www.teamrecruiter.com in the Candidate section.
