I never thought I would need to write one of these but here goes. www.gofundme.com gykzd0 In a horrible turn of events a mostly wild kitten was in the engine of my Mom s truck when it was turned on. Worse yet we didn t know until late that night that anything had happened when my Mom saw the kitten from afar dragging her little leg. A day later she was able to finally capture the poor terrified kitten which has since been named PT (Purr Too). A trip to emergency surgery today has an estimated bill coming her way of approximately 1 500. PT s leg was broken in several spots and there was a gaping wound. As of this afternoon PT now has only three legs left and a long recovery ahead of her. The vet says the surgery went really well and believes she can make a full recovery. She will still be in the hospital for several more days. As my Mom is a full time home hospice caregiver to her aunt there is no extra cash around for such emergencies. We are asking if members of the public will make a special donation towards PT s surgery. Any amount will make a difference. I promise future updates As I have started to share this story I have heard from a few people who had the same thing happen to them or someone they knew. The biggest lesson I take away is to hit the horn for a quick moment before your start your cars especially in colder places.
