AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MKII (BT7) 26000

Factory Left Hand Drive - Finished in Metallic Red and Pearl White - This version has 2-carburators - Superb color combination. In May of 1961 BMC upgraded their flagship model with three SU HS4 carburetors modified valve springs and a new camshaft. Called the MKII it was an alternative to the Triumph TR3A or Jaguar E-Type. The MKII was initially offered as an occasional 4-seat roadster called the BT7. This version uses flat front windscreens and detachable side curtains in the style of a roadster. The rear panel of the BT7 was cut out much deeper towards the truck to make room of the small jumper seats in the rear. The Healey was owned and worked on since 1968 by my dad. He took great care of this car in his collection and drove her only on nice weather days. CONDITION EXTERIOR This Healey is not a concours or mint restored car. The Healey has beautiful chrome and the paint is also in nice condition. CONDITION INTERIOR The interior looks very nice and the seats. White Trim with Red Vinyl Seats and dash Red Carpet. I was going to purchase an interior kit and have it installed for the summer to match the impressive condition of the exterior. All meters on the dashboard are working correctly. DRIVING EXPERIENCE When the key of the Healey is turned the engine starts easily and it become immediately clear that the engine is running very strong. The power in the car is amazing even as the handling. As is often the case with classic cars of the era they can be a bit weak in steering but this car is driving impressively straight. The transmission shifts very well with good syncros both when warm and cold. The brakes are excellent as well. This specific Healey is a very impressive example to drive around with. For more information or an appointment please call Robert Watson or send an e-mail to robert(at)fittingtechnologies.com. Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone during evenings or in the weekend. The car is currently located in Anderson CA. This car has been driven enough to keep it running smoothly.
