AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer Program Specialist
Grants and Community Development Department of the City of Jonesboro is looking for ambitious individuals who are willing to commit for one year to Recruit and train volunteers to organize and engage residents in NJNI outreach efforts. Upon completion of appropriate training VISTA members will conduct workshops and training for volunteers residents of North Jonesboro to instruct and provide technical assistance that strengthens community engagement strategies including capacity building and community empowerment. Organize community events that meet specific needs in the community. Schedule implement and periodically suggest new community-based programs partnerships and engagement strategies. VISTA members will also provide administrative support for NJNI as well as assisting NJNI sponsored events fundraising and participate in required service days determined by Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).
