A long-standing bridge manufacturer is seeking to hire a CAD Design Drafter to do 3D bridge models using Autodesk Advance Steel create fabrication and installation drawings prepares basic material take-off estimates.REQUIREMENTSAssociates Degree in Drafting Civil or Structural Engineering 3 years minimal of related experience doing CAD design and drafting. Prefer candidates that are proficient with 2D and 3D modelling Strongly prefer candidates that have general knowledge of structural steel. MS Office (Word Excel Outlook) AutoCAD 2D & 3D specifically experienced with Autodesk 3D modelling in Autodesk Advance Steel program is highly desired but not required. Must be able to handle working in an environment of tight schedules and deadlines. DUITESDrafter will be responsible for the creation of the 3D bridge model using Autodesk Advance Steel. This model will be created from design information and sketches provided by the project design engineer. Create a complete set of fabrication and installation drawings following the company s standard template. All drawings must be well organized. Create drawing set from 3D model and provide all files required for the fabrication and management of the project (.kss .nc1 .dxf) and import the project into the company s project management software. Must document all changes and or revisions during the submittal and manufacturing phases of the project and provide an As-Built set of drawings at the conclusion of the project. Prepares basic Material Take-Off Estimates (MTO s) using spreadsheets and software for use by estimating department. Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Lead Engineer. Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
