Colonial 3 Piece Deep set Candle Holders and Vase Original

This is an original grand hallway set of candle holders and matching vase. They are 11 inches tall and full of the defects that were tipicle of Americas early glass industry. You had to be rich to afford these. Dating to the mid to late 1700s they were replaced by whale oil lamps. These are from my home state of Virginia. A lot of museums do not even have this set. They are a blueish green color depending on the lighting. A set just like these sits in the State Department in Washington D.C. The candles set in a pocket at the bottom thus reducing the hazard of fire. Just the candle holders are pictured as i do not like to handle these old pieces too much. See my ads historic documents. rare Winchester items. Shillotte pictures etc. Also my new auction book EBOOK ad. J.P.Goodwin
