My client is a well-established bank located in their Downtown Toronto Location. They have an Immediate need for Junior Business Systems Analyst - (SQL DATA ANALYSIS) for a 6 months contract with the high possibility of extension. Requirement SQL experience data analysis experience application support activities experience related to day-to-day troubleshooting of issues with data talking to the business and working with other teams to solve data discrepancies between source and downstream systems Familiarity with relational databases Write and execute queries SQL Server requirement analysis Strong communication ability Strong written verbal skills Nice to haves PMLC SDLC experience Job Description Accountabilities Work with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop Technical System Requirements Specification (SRS) documents. Translate requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product performance user acceptance and business acceptance testing participate in the testing of developed systems solutions. Perform issue investigation and troubleshooting identify risks and escalate as required. Perform data analysis using MS SQL Management studio read and understand application logic i.e. database stored procedures. Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects. Communicate project status to the Team Lead Demand Manager ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues problems options and recommendations for prompt resolution Act as a technical resource for business partners. Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines. Adhere to existing processes standards including the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC). Support positive work environment that promotes service to the business quality innovation and teamwork Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units. Continuously enhance knowledge expertise of business analysis principles and apply it to business solutions. Specific Educational Requirements Accreditations College or University degree in Computer Science or related disciplines (i.e. Business Administration - Information Systems or Information Technology Management). Sound knowledge of tools (e.g. MS Office Visio SQL Server) within own area. Solid grasp of requirements management process practices and standards. Ability to independently and effectively troubleshoot client applications issues of moderate complexity. Expert knowledge of data analysis principles and techniques. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate a concise focused and audience-targeted message (communication efficiency) an absolute must. Mature judgment analytical aptitude required. Previous experience in a similar role an asset. Demonstrated sense of ownership personal responsibility and organization.
