Our major banking client is looking for a Business System Analyst Location Mississauga ON Duration 6 months contract with possibility of extension Must haves (5 for each) 1)Experience eliciting business requirements Conducting interviews and workshops to effectively capture stakeholder needs 2)Experience with requirements analysis and documentation Creating system context use case and other diagrams 3) Experience producing business requirements documentation in a thorough and explicit manner 4) Experience Requirements communication Ability to manage conflicts and requirement changes among cross-functional stakeholder groups avoid scope creeps and conduct document walkthroughs in a timely manner 5) Experience promoting and supporting an environment that encourages productivity innovation teamwork and a high level of professionalism. 6) Ability to cultivate an atmosphere that promotes consultancy analysis problem solving facilitation negotiation and partner value-creation 7) Excellent Communication Ability Department Overview Corporate Segment Technology Solutions (CSTS) is primarily responsible for the delivery of projects and support for various lines of businesses. Our area Corporate Shared Services supports Legal Physical Security Strategic Sourcing Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and Enterprise Real Estate. There is a need in our area for an IT Business Analyst with good technical and analytical skills. Job Description Accountabilities Reporting to the IT Manager the successful candidate should possess a breadth of Business Systems Analysis experience and will be responsible for understanding and documenting the business needs and support the design development and testing activities for delivery of technology solutions to our business partners. Key Accountabilities are Elicit business requirements Conduct interviews and workshops to effectively capture stakeholder needs Requirements analysis and documentation Create system context use case and other diagrams Produce business requirements documentation in a thorough and explicit manner Requirements communication Manage conflicts and requirement changes among cross-functional stakeholder groups avoid scope creeps and conduct document walkthroughs in a timely manner Promote and support an environment that encourages productivity innovation teamwork and a high level of professionalism. Cultivate an atmosphere that promotes consultancy analysis problem solving facilitation negotiation and partner value-creation Qualifications Skills Experience 5 years of Business Systems Analyst or similar experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with business partners senior management and executive audiences Strong leadership skills and an ability to influence and build consensus among multiple stakeholder groups Flexibility to adapt quickly and change priorities as required to changing requirements Excellent ability to write concisely and precisely Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines. Work closely with all business stakeholders to understand prioritize and document needs and to conduct gap assessments relative to current state and planned future state. Utilize various Business analysis techniques including using interviews document analysis requirements workshops business process mapping use cases. Draft and document concise business requirements following RMLC best practices solicit final approval from business partners and provide clear direction to technology on requirements and priorities Support and participate in QA activities by providing input to the development of test strategies test cases and test scripts ensuring adherence to approved business requirements. Contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed initiatives Good organizational follow-up and priority-setting skills. Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision. Experience working with Business Areas and vendors on solutions analysis design and ongoing support. Ability to remain flexible with shifting priorities. Good analytical verbal and written communication skills. Good working knowledge of the technical environment tools (e.g. user environment applications software hardware Networking and operating systems.) Good understanding of Software Deployment Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodologies Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint). Knowledge of Visio is an asset. Specific Educational Requirements Accreditations College University degree is preferred or equivalent work experience within the Bank.
