Our client is a well-established bank located in downtown Toronto. They are looking for a Intermediate Business Analyst (loan Application) It is 1 month contract role with the Potential project extension The successful candidate will be working on a project to automate the loan reservation from the work flow tool into the general applications. The applications are Bank specific .This is for the commercial loan work department. One of their activities is to place a reservation against a loan when there is a collateral shortfall which is currently done in multiple steps. They want to automate the process so when someone enters the information and it is all approved it will flow into another application.Must have skills 1. Very adept at helping put together future state process maps and procedures. They have current maps and procedures they can leverage but they will have to work with multiple departments in the bank for putting the procedures together. 2. Business Analyst 5-7 years of experience 3. Previous experience in a financial institution 4. Background in accounting 5. Strong communication skills. They will be working with all of the stakeholders (10-15 stakeholders)Summary The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes including project goals deadlines metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director. Job Responsibilities Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization. Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics. Review contracts cost proposals and contract supplements. Set up project and work breakdown structures. Establish and document business processes. Track project budgets and expenditures monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets. Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions. Skills Verbal and written communication skills attention to detail customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one s time. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation and production methods. Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Enterprise Application experience a plus. Education Experience Bachelor s degree in business management economics finance accounting or relevant field required. 5-7 years experience required.
