1937 Nautical ship brass metal floating compass

The Wood Freeman metal pilot compass - antique brass and metal floating ship compass. Still has liquid inside which most don t so it actually floats and does what it is supposed to minus the wires not being connected to the ship s system. (ship not included - believe it rests on the bottom of the ocean near Vancouver Island). The compass has a total diameter (including ring) of 7.5 . Actual compass face is 6.25 . Height 9 . A very unique piece (India can t even replicate it) and overall the piece has nice eye appeal. (Just don t tell the wife.) Great piece for the collection and excellent conversation piece. Story to the grandchildren of how you sailed your first voyage across the ocean blue in 1492 not included but can be left to the imagination and told properly by any true grandfather and be passed down through generations.
