Safety is what we have been about since 1932 And we are looking for 1 or 2 motivated individuals to join our team. Evergreen Driving School is part of the Evergreen Safety Council a private non-profit organization that has been educating the public about safety on our roads to individuals organizations and communities in the Pacific Northwest for more than 80 years. This position is ideal for a school teacher looking for additional income working on a part-time basis during the school year and closer to full time in the summer or anyone who simply has a passion to train new drivers. Are you Friendly patient mature and a good teacher Well groomed fluent in English Capable of communicating with ESL students Available after school evenings and or weekends for training during the school year and possibly full time during the summer If so keep reading. Our minimum requirements are 21 years of age HS diploma or GED WA Driver s license and a clean driving record Must pass a WSP and FBI background investigation We are a drug-free workplace.Pre-hire and random drug testing may be required Either hold a current WA DOL Driving Instructor certificate OR be willing to attend our training course and successfully complete the course and pass the WA Dept. of Licensing Instructor Knowledge and Road Tests. Do you meet these requirements If so you will be interested to know that we provide 100 hours of training as required by the state of Washington at no charge to you. (a 3000 value) Bonus - While we do not pay you during the training after 6 months employment with us as a certified instructor we will pay you a bonus of 1000. Compensation 15- 20 DOE.
