looking for bird for my daughters birthday plz help

my daughter will be turning 2 soon every time we go to the pet shops she looks at 2 things fish and birds she already has a fish which she takes excellent care of she points to him and says fish eat and will sit up on counter and feed him. she loves birds especially the bigger ones (conure parrots cockitels etc) but the prices the pet stores want is quite high we understand the cost of taking care of birds we have cages of various sizes (we had birds in the past) all cages are still in excellent shape we would only need a cage if it were a very large bird (which we would love) but we cant pay the store prices for a bird we would rather take the money to spoil the bird with toys and treats. so if anyone has a bird they are looking to rehome where it will get a TON of love care and attention PLEASE lets help eachother out because in our family there is almost always someone home the home consists of myself a 26 year old stay at home full time single mom my soon to be 2 year old daughter who loves animals and my mom who only works part time so the bird would get lots of attentionf my email is jennifer.paulin(at)yahoo.com
