CREATIVE DESIGN MANAGER Established Indianapolis publishing company seeks a full-time Creative Design Manager with a minimum of 10 years design layout and creative team management experience. Ideal candidate will design improve maintain and oversee company image as reflected in print publications websites as well as our Custom and Book Publishing Division. Must provide top-notch design artistic guidance and quality control with a polished and professional demeanor. Skills Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite from CS5 and forward working in a Mac environment. Exceptional organizational along with both verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of current digital technology web best practices with html skills a plus. Overall Job Responsibilities Manage all corporate production products including newspapers magazines and supplements. Design top-notch publications and graphics within a deadline-driven environment. Manage mentor & inspire a creative team of loyal dedicated individuals with an outstanding work ethic. Function as the Creative Liaison working with department heads to evaluate and improve visual quality and brand consistency. Offer creative cost effective time efficient solutions from a design and production perspective. Work with New Media Department to produce digital assets with a working knowledge of current web trends and user interface design. Oversee stylebooks color palettes templates and design guidelines for all products and create for new products. Additional Contributions Role model in terms of work ethic attitude and design knowledge. Technical resource for production team in terms of knowledge of design and layout software. Artistic leadership for Art Department and company. Reports to Director of Production Publisher of IBJ Custom & Book Publishing. Works with Production Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of department. You will be surrounded by a talented professional team of designers and managers who have longevity with the company.
