EOE M F Vets Disability Affirmative Action Employer JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for soliciting loan business from customers and Realtors and assisting with initial loan processing. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Solicit and originate loan applications including traveling to the customers as needed. Enter loan applications and print out initial disclosures for customers to sign. Assist walk-in customers as needed. Visit at least one real estate office per week. Coordinate Realtor appreciation luncheons and continuing education classes. Assist marketing department with local real estate home guides newspaper advertising and create flyers. Determine which products best meet the customers lending needs and financial circumstances. Bookkeeping and accounting skills required to balance transactions and meet strict deadlines. Manage customer calls for inquires on rates and mortgage products. Ensure Mortgage Loan compliance guidelines are being met and followed. Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards. Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors co-workers and customers. Follow the direction of supervisor. Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform other duties and projects as required by management. Must be active in civic and community events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION Associates degree and 2 year s experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience providing a working knowledge of loan documentation and or processing is preferred. Knowledge of VA FHA and Conventional lending requirements. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Real estate regulations and application. Specific skills include ability to type business correspondence and forms. Computer experience should include Windows MS Word and MS Excel or other word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to learn mortgage-lending software required. Must also have the ability to compute basic math functions as well as rates yields and percentages. Must demonstrate excellent customer and employee relations skills to relay documentation needs and requirements. Must demonstrate problem-solving skills to determine investor needs. This position requires a high degree of professionalism customer service sales teamwork and confidentiality. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills able to work well with a wide range of people. Strong organizational time management and analytical skills. Strong follow through on projects and deliverables. Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects. Must be self-motivated and work well with the public. Strong sense of customer service. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities Sitting for long periods of time occasional bending squatting kneeling stooping good finger dexterity and feeling frequent repetitive motions talking hearing and visual acuity. Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment). Driving to client locations and other sites as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment.
