Psychiatric APRN part - time or full-time available Shoreline Wellness Center LLC West Haven CT Adult Psychiatric APRN Shoreline Wellness Center (SWC) LLC West Haven CT The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status diagnosis development of plan of care and treatment implementation of treatment plan and evaluation of patient status). SWC provides ongoing collaboration with a board certified child psychiatrist and a board certified adult psychiatrist. SWC also provides full malpractice coverage for all NPs. Health insurance benefits are available to both full and part-time staff. SWC offers competitive pay flexible hours and work days. Essential responsibilities Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient s age-specific needs. Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role. Monitors the effectiveness of interventions. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals. Facilitates staff patient and family decision making by providing educational tools. Minimum qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program Current Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License Must be comfortable taking notes and charting electronically through an online EHR system. Must be able to work quickly and have outstanding time management skills.
