We purchased this plane in 1992. I learned to fly in it as a 30 yr old female. With the STOL kit on I was virtually unable to power on stall this aircraft thats how stable it flies. This is a perfect family aircraft N189S Continental 0470 230hp. Variable speed propeller. TT-3669.4 SMOH- 1183 Annual 11 30 2015 Accident history 1990- report states engine quit on landing- that s not what happened. My flight instructor shut off the engine on base as an exercise and then was unable to restart it in time for my landing on the grass just short of the runway. There was no damage to the aircraft. 1971- substantial damage. Pilot preflight error- low oil. engine was replaced....
