Make a difference through cultural exchange CCI Greenheart is seeking responsible adults interested in cultural exchange to work as Local Coordinators for our foreign exchange students. By becoming a CCI Greenheart Local Coordinator you will reap limitless rewards both personally and professionally. The benefits of working with CCI include Developing lasting international friendships both personally and within your local community. Receiving a stipend for each student you place in a host family for the academic semester or year. Working from home setting your own hours and schedule and deciding how many students you want to work with. The opportunity to meet people from all over the world learn about new cultures and see our culture through their eyes. Special travel opportunities to attend CCI Greenheart trainings and also the CCI Greenheart annual conference. This year qualified LCs will travel on an all expense paid trip for a week in San Francisco. Future trips include Buenos Aires Argentina. Qualifications and Responsibilities CCI Local Coordinators come from all walks of life. Many are teachers social workers retirees or stay-at-home moms while others are bankers lawyers doctors. ...you name it What all LCs have in common is a love for working with people of different cultures and backgrounds and a desire to work flexible part-time hours from home as independent contractors. Responsibilities generally include Identifying schools open to international exchange students. Recruiting American families and outbound students interested in international exchange. Matching host families with international students. Providing orientations and group outings for international students and host families. Acting as a support person and counselor for families and international students. Willingness to go into your community to ask people if they would be interested in learning about hosting a student Compensation In addition to the intrinsic rewards attached to helping build international friendships CCI Greenheart Local Coordinators receive a stipend for each student placed supervised or recruited to travel abroad. Stipends are paid on an independent contractor basis and vary based on the length of stay and type of program. Stipends are 1000.00 for each academic year student placed and 800.00 for each academic semester student placed.
