Electrical Apprentice (Residential)

Reports to Electrical Service Technican Summary Objective The Electrical Apprentice will assist electricians by performing various duties. An Electrical Apprentice has the desire to learn their trade and obtain the skills necessary to become a Journeyman through on-the-job and classroom training. Essential Functions Works with others as a team to learn and perform the task laid out by the electrical superintendent and or lead electrician Measures cuts and bends wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools Maintains tools vehicles and equipment and keeps parts and supplies in order Transports tools materials equipment and supplies to work site Performs semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment and clean work areas Required 1 -3 years of experience in electrical residential installation and or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience Responsible for trade specific hand tools Desire to learn electrical trade and develop skills into a long-term career Must be able to multi-task work with minimal supervision follow written and oral instructions show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV criminal history) Must adhere to all company policy and procedures Must be available to work assigned schedules and extended hours as needed including day evening weekend and holiday hours Benefits Competitive benefits offered including company paid health insurance after one year continuous employment.
