Director of Contracts

Local company is looking to hire an experienced Director of Contracts. The Director of Contracts will be a key member of the Business Management leadership team and will have responsibility for managing all contracts and activities across all business units. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES --Oversees all contracts administration functions and manages all members of the Contracts department --Manages contract negotiations contract administration front-end strategic assessment of business pursuits and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition in accordance with company policies and legal requirements --Coordinates complex contract administration assignments and performs dispute resolution and cost and price analysis for award change orders and claims ink accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and other Governmental regulations --Drafts and negotiates terms and conditions for technology agreements including consulting services agreements NDA s and other customer agreements to be consistent with the company s protocols and best practices --Manages the review of bids specifications progress and other reports advises management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual program risks compiles and analyzes data and maintains historical information --Understands Forward Pricing Rates Cost structure estimates of material equipment services production costs performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness --Ensures all regulatory and compliance measures are met MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED --Must possess superior knowledge of the Governmental DoD contracting process demonstrated contract drafting skills and experience in reviewing and digesting contracts and identifying the parties contractual obligations --Must possess experience with FAR DFAR and other Governmental regulations --Must possess the ability to negotiate complex agreements and communicate effectively with all parties internally and externally --Excellent attention to detail follow-up and organizational skills --Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast paced challenging environment and manage multiple and oftentimes competing priorities --Experience in planning assessing and implementing change --Must have ability to obtain TS SCI security clearance EDUCATION Must have a Business or Technical degree with at least 10 years experience in a high tech industry with DoD and government agency contracts MBA preferred.
